Fair Ground is a land co-operative, co-initiated by CLTB, launched in December 2020. Its founding group comprises some fifteen Brussels associations active in access to housing and social entrepreneurship. In line with CLTB’s objective of extracting land from the speculative market and turning it into a common good, the Fair Ground cooperative aims to enable private capital to finance the acquisition of land in order to set up social and solidarity economy projects: affordable housing but also associative spaces available to local social economy players.
In CALICO, Fair Ground will finance the purchase of ten Angela.D flats, which it will rent to occupants under management with Logement Pour Tous and for which Angela.D will select the occupants.
