After almost three years of preparation, CALICO will open its doors on September 4th 2021.
We invite you to join us in the passage below the building located 59-61 rue du Delta, 1190 Forest. You will find below the detailed agenda for the day.
CALICO, CAre and LIving in Community, is an intergenerational housing project with a social mix and in interaction with its neighbourhood. Its priorities are a gender perspective integrated in housing, birth and end-of-life at the heart of togetherness, mutual care, and housing access as part of a “Community Land Trust” which manages land as a common good.

- Ms Nawal Ben Hamou, State Secretary for Housing of Brussels-Capital Region.
- Mr Alain Maron, Minister of the environment, tasked with social action and health as part of COCOF and COCOM.
- Ms Mariam El Hamidine, acting mayor of Forest with Mr Nicolas Lonfils, president of the Forest Social Welfare Center.
- Delegated representatives for the associations involved in CALICO.
- Launch of activities by a CALICO inhabitant.
- 12h30 : Free buffet.
- Afternoon : activities, stands, visit of the project, meeting with partners.
